My world revolves around wine and in my home, wine surrounds me. With so many bottles, it can be a challenge to keep all the bottles stored properly. I have one small built-in wine fridge where I keep my sparkling wines. And, I have a very large standalone wine fridge. I soon outgrew both of those and had the rest of the bottles on wine racks. But, I just added a NewAir 24″ 46 Bottles Dual Zone Compressor Wine Fridge to my collection and this new wine fridge is the Please The Palate pick of the week.

The NewAir 24″ Black Stainless Steel Wine Fridge comes in black stainless steel. It can be placed between standard base cabinets but looks great as a standalone, as I have done. It is a sleek and sexy wine fridge.

When you open the fridge door, blue lights illuminate the temperature control panel. The NewAir 24″ Black Stainless Steel Wine Fridge has dual-zone cooling. I like to store my wines at 55 degrees but with the dual-zone cooling, I can chose to store my white wines between 40-55 degrees in the upper section and my red wines between 50-66 degrees in the lower sections. And, I can control both sections with the digital thermostat.

As promised, the wine fridge holds 46 bottles. I filled my new fridge with Pinot Noirs and even with the larger sharp bottles, I could still fill it with 46 wine bottles on the beech wood shelves. The shelves slide in an out and can be removed but they are not adjustable so the rows are always even.

What I especially love about my new wine fridge it that is is very quiet. The compressor-based fan cooling system circulates air evenly. And there is also a carbon filter to keep the air fresh. My wine is constantly chilled and I do not hear the fan kicking on and off.

Lastly, the doors are triple-tempered and treated with an anti-UV layer. I have a lot of natural light in my home and these doors protect the wine from sunlight exposure, keeping the wines from oxidizing.
