After tasting more than 200 wines last week at the Central Coast Wine Competition, my teeth had definitely seen better days. After one brushing, the purple color on my teeth was gone but I thought that my teeth needed a little something more. So, I tried My Magic Mud toothpaste, dental floss, oral rinse and chewing gum and felt like I have completely removed the wine stains. My Magic Mud is the Please The Palate Pick of the Week.

My Magic Mud are activated charcoal oral care products made from activated coconut shell charcoal and Bentonite clay. The products are also vegan, cruelty free, gluten free and non-GMO. Activated Charcoal Teeth Whitening Toothpaste is flouride free and the paste is black in color. It is a bit off-putting at first when you brush your teeth because your mouth turns black. But the toothpaste is refreshing with flavors of peppermint, spearmint, wintergreen and cinnamon clove. A quick rinse and the black is gone.

Activated Charcoal Oral Rinse comes in cinnamon clove and classic mint flavors. It looks like a Jaeger shot but is light, flavorful and will leave you with fresh breath.

Activated Charcoal Infused Floss is black and has a natural wax coating but does not turn your mouth black.

Breath Fresheners include breath mints, breath spray and chewing gum. I enjoy the My Magic Gum Chewing Gum which is minty and lasts a long time. The gum is black but it does not change the color of your teeth or saliva so you can chew the gum in public.
