1010 Wine and Events is located on 1010 N. La Brea Drive. It is owned by sisters Leslie and LeAnn Jones who were raised in and still live in Inglewood. The two love to go out to eat and drink with friends. Leslie, a luxury wedding planner, and LeAnn, an attorney, were tired of going outside of their neighborhood to enjoy delicious wine and food. With Leslie’s background in hospitality and LeAnn’s knowledge and love of wine, the sisters decided to open 1010 Wine and Events. 1010 Wine opened in 2021.

Chef Mo Marvel, a Le Cordon Bleu Pasadena graduate and previous Executive Sous Chef at Superfine Playa and Sous Chef of Rossoblu (DTLA), recently joined the team and has redesigned the menu. Served family style, the menu offers a variety of options and is designed to pair with the wines featured at 1010 Wine.

Love Cork Screw Wines was founded in 2013 by Chrishon Lampley who became the first African American woman in the Midwest to take a wine brand national. Her Head over Heals Riesling is a sweet Riesling but the acidity balances the sweetness and this sweetness balanced the bitterness in the sauce of the salmon crudo.

La Fête Wine Company, founded by Donae Burstson, is produced in partnership with the prestigious winemakers of Château Saint-Maur. A white wine made from Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedre, it is crisp and fresh and the acidity cuts through the beet salad with vegan almond aioli.

UrbanVino Grand Cuvee is a a sparkling wine made with fruit from Lodi and blended with 23% South African Muscat and offers freshness and crisp acidity to pair with the fried black eyed peas fritters.

Intercept Wines is the brand of Pro Football Hall of Famer Charles Woodson. The Chardonnay, with its bright acidity and medium body, can stand up to the richness of grilled gulf prawns cooked in butter and Chardonnay.

The Love Cork Screw Good Times Good Friends Pinot Grigio is from Michigan. With crisp apple and pear notes, this medium bodied wine pairs with the crispy whole fried cornmeal Thai red snapper which has a sweet citrus sauce.

Established in 2006, Indigene Cellars was founded by Raymond Smith and is based in Paso Robles. The 2021 Rozane Pinot Noir Rose has strawberry and mineral notes and zesty acidity to pair with Piri Piri chicken and fired rice in a red pepper sauce.

Wachira Wines is a black-owned, woman-owned winery in Alameda County. Dr. Chris (Christine) Wachira is the first Kenyan-born, Californian winemaker, distributor, importer, and exporter. Made from grapes from Napa, Lodi, and Paso Robles, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is lighter bodied than typical Cabernets. With notes of black and blue fruits and soft tannins, this balanced pairs with various meat dishes, from pork and beef to lamb.

1010 Wine and Events offers a unique and interesting wine list and tasty food in an inviting venue.
