Cocktails in Bordeaux? L’Alchimiste

When I say Bordeaux, you think wine, right? But, now you can also think cocktails! L’Alchimiste is Bordeaux’s first classic cocktail bar. Open less than a year, it was voted in the TOP 50 most influential French Bars 2014.

L'Alchimiste Bordeaux

L’Alchimiste is owned by Clement Sargeni and Roman Bruxer. Both barmen are originally from Paris. With Bordeaux’s vibrant nightlife and young energy, it was the perfect city to introduce to classic cocktails and molecular mixology.

Roman and Clement work side by side behind the bar that feels like a wine cellar or cave. With antique furniture, such as wooden tables, velvet sofas and desk laps, that have been collected at flea markets, garage sales and the homes of grandparents, it is a small, quiet and relaxed environment reminiscent of the 1920s and will appeal to everyone.

Done & Dusted (Beefeater Gin infused with carvi seed, fresh coriander, honey, lime) Le Vieux Quarre (Gin Mare, Monkey Shoulder Blended Whisky infused with bergamont, red vermouth, cedralina tassoni, bitter sariette, romarin frais) Old Scott (Hendrick's Gin, lime, mint, Old Scot bitters, Prosecco, Eau de St. JasminWake & Bake (Tequila infused with pear, Campari infused with coffee, lime, agave syrup, bitter chocolate) Moustache (Aperol bitter, red Vermouth, fresh grapefruit, veloute of St Germain, Campari sugar) Manhattan

After a day of wine tasting and touring around Bordeaux, L’Alchimiste is the perfect last stop for the night.
