I finally returned to Valle de Guadalupe this week for a girls’ weekend. It has been five years since I was last here and it was the first time for my friends. As I started to plan the trip, I was amazed at how many new hotels there are. I had a few requirements as I needed a hotel that had 4 rooms, had a spa onsite, and offered breakfast. After doing a little research, I found La Cima del Valle. I did not know what to expect, but the reviews were good, so I booked it. After spending a few days here, I can definitely say that La Cima del Valle in Valle de Guadalupe is the Please The Palate pick of the week.
Our trip to Valle de Guadalupe was during the off-season. This means that the Valle was relatively quiet and some places were not reopened yet. But that did not limit us. For the first couple nights, we were the only people at La Cima del Valle. It was peaceful and relaxing and the perfect place for our weekend stay.
La Cima del Valle
We arrived after dark and were greeted by two staff. They immediately checked us in and took us in a golf cart to our rooms. Since our friendly check-in, the staff was nothing but nice. We were greeted with smiles everywhere. It was a great feeling to feel so comfortable and welcome.
Even the three (or more) golden retrievers are more than friendly. And when I took a walk each morning around the neighborhood, some of the dogs would jovially join me.
La Cima is built on a hill. From single to double rooms to junior and master suites, the rooms are modern and spacious with large, firm, and comfortable beds with views of the valley.
La Cima del Valle Facilities
There is a pool, restaurant, small gym, and spa on the property.
With the sun shining, sitting by the pool is relaxing. Or there is the covered sports bar just off to the side of the pool where drinks and food are available.
The Zora Spa is small with two treatment rooms and a small sauna. A number of treatments are available but the Paquete Amanacer, or Sunrise Package, offers a little of everything with a facial, massage, exfoliation, and sauna.
Breakfast at La Cima del Valle
We enjoyed breakfast at Diguiso, the restaurant at La Cima each morning. The restaurant offers panoramic views of the valley. As guests, we received a 25% discount on what we ordered.
What is better than freshly made chilaquiles or an omelet and a cappuccino to start the day.
We went wine tasting and ate great meals on our girls’ weekend but we also relaxed at the hotel and enjoyed a spa day. La Cima del Valle was a great place to stay for our girls’ weekend!
