Please The Palate Pick of the Week: Theragun Elite and Theragun Mini Massage Guns

Sitting at my desk day after day does a number on my back. No matter how much exercise or stretching I do, if I sit for a long time and type, my lower back and shoulders tighten up. That is why my Theragun Elite has been one of my favorite investments this past year. And now I have a Theragun Mini for when I start traveling again. The Theragun Elite and Theragun Mini are the Please The Palate pick of the week. Theragun is a deep muscle massage treatment. Theragun uses percussive therapy in which concentrated, rapid, short-duration pulses go into the tissues of the body. This action helps release muscle knots and can reach even deeper layers of muscles than a foam roller or human hands. It really works, unlike anything I have used before. If my lower back, thanks to herniated disks, is tightening up, a few minutes with the Theragun releases the tension. If my muscles are sore after an intense workout, the Theragun is a welcome massage. And if my neck tightens up because I slept wrong or sat at my computer typing for too long, the Theragun releases the tension. The Theragun Elites has an ergonomic multi-grip, a customizable speed range, 120-minute total battery life, and 5 attachments (a dampener, standard ball, wedge, thumb and cone) for different effects. Theragun was developed by Dr. Jason Wersland. After a traumatic motorcycle accident, he searched for a solution to his debilitating pain and designed the Theragun. Today Theragun is used by more than 250 professional sports teams, as well as physical therapists, trainers, celebrities, and everyday people in more than 40 countries around the world. I love my Theragun Elite and while it comes in a protective carrying case, I thought it would be extra weight when I travel. So, I recently purchased a Theragun Mini. The Theragun Mini is compact and portable. It has 3 speed settings and a battery life of 150 hours. Like my Theragun Elite, the Mini has the QX35 Motor with QuietForce Technology™ so it is not too loud to use. It only has the standard ball attachment but that is my preferred attachment for my lower back and neck. Now after sitting in a car, or on a plane, for a long time, I can relieve tension and soreness with my Theragun Mini, my perfect traveling companion.
