13 Jan Please The Palate Pick of the Week: Press Preview of the 75th Emmy Awards Season
It’s awards season in Los Angeles and while the Emmy Awards are usually in September, the 2023 Emmys were postponed until January 2024. So January 2024 is the official 75th Emmy Awards Season. The 75th Creative Arts Emmy Awards took place on January 6th and 7th and the 75th Emmy Awards will be live on January 15th. In between these dates, I had the privilege to attend a Press Preview of the 75th Emmy Award Season, the Please The Palate pick of the week, where I met the official corporate sponsors and got a preview of what will take place on awards night.
So what is a press preview? It was an opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at what would happen during Emmy Awards Season and what the celebrities being honored will experience. For example, they will enjoy sparkling wines from Franciacorta. The name of a wine, a method, and a region located in the north of Italy, Franciacorta is celebrating its third year as an Emmy partner. Emmy attendees will enjoy glasses of Franciacorta by various producers and can learn more about the elegant wines from Franciacorta brand ambassador Giammario Villa.
Emmy attendees will enjoy sweet bites from celebrity chef Sherry Yard. Each of the bites Sherry has created, from strawberry shortcake to tiramisu, are served in small bites. They will not be messy to eat for those in their gowns and offer the perfect bite of sweetness. Sherry will also be serving freshly baked chocolate chip cookies!
For the first time, Johnnie Walker is serving as the Official Spirits Partner of the 75th Emmys and attendees will enjoy a curated selection of signature cocktails made with Johnnie Walker Blue Label crafted by Andy Seymour, founder and owner of Liqpro.
Drybar is the Official Haircare Partner of the 75th Emmys. In addition to debuting two new finishing products, Drybar will provide their services to nominees and winners with touch up stations ON the red carpet, as well as in the media center and at the Governors Gala. If the LA winds pick up, nominees will not have to worry!
Other Corporate Partners include United Airlines, The Ritz-Carlton, People Magazine, FIJI Water, and Justin Vineyards and Winery. And of course nominees and winners will receive swag.
As for the Awards Show, the 75th Emmy Awards show is being produced by Jessie Collins Entertainment (Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon, and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay). This is the first all black production team at the Emmys, which will take place on Martin Luther King Day. And the host of the 75th Emmys is Anthony Anderson.
We then got a sneak peak of Emmy Stage at Peacock Theater at LA Live.
The 75th anniversary of the Emmy Awards will have some surprise elements and we got one sneak peak! They recreated the iconic chocolate factory scene from I Love Lucy. We will have to watch the Emmys to see other surprise elements that will celebrate 75 years of television.
Attendees of the 75th Emmy Awards are in for a treat and it was fun to get behind-the-scenes preview of what will happen.
