Everyone’s favorite fruit or vegetable (we’re still not sure) has its very own season dedicated to the height of its ripeness. As we are in the season of tomatoes, and the height of summer, what better way to celebrate this super food than with these fun upcoming events? Tis the season! Loteria Grill invites LA to enjoy some all tomato events featuring top LA Chefs! Tomatomania Week at Lotería: Tuesday, August 6-Roma-therapy Tuesday night features a book signing event and dinner for the Roma-therapy authors Chef Paul McCullough and Jeremy Stanford. Guests will be able to meet the authors here, while enjoying a tomato themed menu featuring items from their book. The dinner starts at 7:30 and costs $30 per person. Thursday, August 8- Featured Event: Five Tomatoes Dinner The Five Tomatoes Dinner is Loteria Grill’s featured event of the week. Guests will enjoy five tomatoes prepared five different ways, with the night ending in dessert by acclaimed pastry chef, Duff Goldman. Additionally, Chef Jimmy and Evan Kleiman of KCRW’s “Good Food” host Kris Morningstar of Ray’s & Stark Bar, Giselle Wellman of Petrossian, Neal Fraser of BLD, Fritzi Dog, The Strand House, Neal Fraser & Co. at Vibiana, and Redbird at Vibiana, and Duff Goldman of Charm City Cakes together they will create the ultimate prix-fixe family style dinner highlighting heirloom tomatoes. The dinner begins at 7:30 p.m. and costs $55 per person. Tomatomania Menus at All Lotería Locales A dedicated Tomatomania menu will be available all day at each Lotería Grill location from August 3rd-August 11th. Featured dishes and drinks include Heirloom Tomato Salad with pomegranate seeds, quesillo Oaxaca, ancho chile, and citrus vinaigrette; Chongos with heirloom tomato compote; Heirloom Tomato and Watermelon Agua Fresca, and more.
