We have all been there before.  We have opened a bottle of wine or have been served a glass of wine only to recoil after the first sniff.  Welcome to the wonderful world of wine faults.  There are so many opportunities for a bottle of wine to become faulted and yet only about 6% of all wine is faulted wine.

In this episode, we explore the two kinds of volatile acidity that can become faults in wine – acetic acid and ethyl acetate.
