Wines of Madeira

OBJECTIVE: Wines of Madeira has developed a three year campaign to re-educate the trade and media in the United States about the history, styles and uniqueness of Madeira wines, from the small Portuguese island of the same name, as well as its food pairing options.

OUTCOME:  In 2011 and 2012, Please The Palate organized a series of trade and media events.

Trade Tastings
Organized and managed trade events in San Francisco and New York. Educational seminars and food and wine pairing luncheons were hosted to key media and buyers. Walk-around tastings featuring the five Madeira producers were hosted for buyers, importers and media.

Press Trip
Please The Palate coordinated a group of key journalists to visit Madeira in January 2012.
