Experience the magic of the Hills as we kick off our Wine and Fire weekend at the historic Sanford Winery’s Sanford and Benedict Barn. The barn housed the very first winery in the Sta. Rita Hills and offers breathtaking views of the the Santa Rosa corridor. Enjoy Sta. Rita Hills wines, fire grilled pizzas prepared by New West Catering and smoking good music by Mojo, featuring our own Steve Clifton of Brewer-Clifton, on lead vocals!

Wine and Fire Seminar and Lunch
Fiddlestix Vineyard

Winemakers and Sommeliers team up to educate and challenge your senses in a blind tasting of SRH wines. A two hour seminar, led by Josh Raynolds of Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar, will feature Jeff Newton of Central Coast Vineyard Care. Jeff manages hundreds of acres of vineyards in our area and will enlighten us on the different farming practices in our local vineyards. A Hitching Post II catered lunch will round out the afternoon before heading to the Grand Tasting at La Purisima Mission.

Panelists include Tyler Thomas – Dierberg, Greg Brewer – Brewer Clifton, Wes Hagen – Clos Pepe, Joey Gummere – Transcendence, Kathy Joseph – Fiddlehead Cellars, Aaron Walker – Pali Wine Company, Jake Lindley – Lindley Wines and Mark Horvath – Crawford Family Wines.

Forty of our wineries and sizzling local chefs will be on hand for an evening of chillin’ and grillin’ at the beautiful La Purisima Mission located on the edge of our AVA. Avant, Babe Farms, Campbell Farms,Homegrown Cowboy, J & D Stone Oven Pizza, The Hitching Post II, Los Amigos BBQ, Succulent Cafe and Sweet Creations will be offering local culinary delights to enjoy with our Sta.
