12 Apr CONSUMER: Drink Ribera In-Store Tasting
In northern Spain’s Castilla y Léon region, wines have been grown on the high-altitude mesas along the Duero River since the time of the Romans. This dry landscape is subject to all kinds of extremes, from bitter cold winters to sweltering summers. A clone of Tempranillo called Tinto Fino thrives here, having adapted itself to the rugged climatic conditions with smaller berries and thicker skin. Since earning its own D.O. in 1982, such iconic producers as Tinto Pesquera have changed the playing field substantially, raising the bar to create wines of exquisite structure, deep earthy elegance, and great age-ability. Please come join us this Friday, April 12th, from 6:00-8:00pm, for a special in-store tasting of these incredible wines with an expert from the region. Oh, did we mention we’d also be serving sliced Serrano ham to order?
